Woman punched and kicked in unprovoked attack on-board train

British Transport Police has this week issued images following an assault on board a train heading to Crewe from Liverpool Lime Street.

The incident took place on Saturday, 4 November, last year on the 8.30pm train from Liverpool Lime Street to Crewe.

A group of women were arguing with a group of men who left the service at Runcorn station.

As the men left the train at Runcorn one of the women jumped over the victim to shout and gesticulate to them.

The victim asked the woman to “go away” at which point the group of women launched an unprovoked attack on her, punching and kicking her to the floor and pulling hair from her scalp.

Officers believe the women in the images may have information that could help their investigation.
