Woman arrested for ‘outraging public decency’ following indecent act in Concert Square

Police investigating video footage of two people having sex in Concert Square have made an arrest today, Thursday 4 August.

Following enquiries, a 37-year-old woman from the Bradford area, but currently residing in Bootle was arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency.

She is currently being questioned by police.

Enquiries remain ongoing to identify the male in the video and anyone with any further information is asked to get in touch.

Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said, “This swift arrest shows that such behaviour simply will not be tolerated on Merseyside.

“While it’s good news that we have made an arrest, our investigation into this incident remains ongoing. I would continue to urge people to refrain from sharing the video on social media and instead report anything they know to us directly, so that we can take action.”

Anyone with any information about this incident can contact Merseyside Police on their social media desk via Twitter @MerPolCC or Facebook ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ with reference 22000564600.
