Witnesses sought following attempted knifepoint robbery

Merseyside Police is appealing to the public following an attempted robbery in Birkenhead at the start of this month.

On 9 July at around 6:10pm, a man who has been riding his 21 plate grey Titan Lexmoto scooter on Tollemache Road, was approached by two other men riding a red scooter.

Here, the passenger is reported to have punched the victim, a 21-year-old man.

The victim managed to ride away, however another black and green scooter is reported to have come from Buckingham Avenue and collided with the victim. Following this, the riders on the red scooter approached him again where they have threatened the man at knifepoint.

A black scooter has then approached the group and rammed into the victim causing damage to the exhaust.

Thankfully, the victim managed to get away unscathed but was obviously shaken by the incident and has suffered financially due to his scooter being damaged.

Now officers are appealing to anyone that might have been in the area at the time and saw people they think could have been involved.
