Detectives appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Bootle last month have issued images of four men who may have information or may have seen the attack.
It was reported that at around 9.35pm on Saturday 24 September a man in his 50s was struck by another man on Wadham Road, Bootle.
The victim went to hospital after the incident where he was treated for a broken jaw.
Since the attack officers have carried out an extensive investigation in the area and analysed CCTV footage to identify anyone who could be responsible. Detectives have now issued images of four men they believe could assist with their enquiries.
Detective Inspector Matt Kerr said, “We think the men pictured may have vital information that could help an ongoing police investigation.
“Although the men pictured are not clearly identifiable in these photos I would like to appeal directly to them and anyone who was on Wadham Road on Saturday night 24 September and may have seen what happened to come forward.
“I would also like to reassure these men that they are not in trouble and any information they give from that night could really support our enquiries”.
“If you recognise these men and have any information, please let us know as we continue to investigate.”
