Witness appeal following serious RTC at Thornton Hough

Merseyside Police is appealing for witnesses after a serious collision in Thornton Hough on Thursday 24 June.

Emergency services were called to Neston Road at around 6.25pm to a report a blue VW Passat and a silver/grey VW Polo had been in a collision.

The occupants of the VW Polo were taken to hospital where they were treated for their injuries. They have since been discharged.

A 24-year-old man from Hyde was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving. He has been released under investigation.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have captured it on their vehicle’s dashcam to come forward.

NOTE: Earlier police reports stated that this incident took place in Thornton, Liverpool. birkenhead.news has confirmed that it took place in Thornton Hough, Wirral.
