Wirral’s symptom-free testing hits the road

New rapid mobile testing vehicles will be in some of the borough’s busiest places over the coming weeks to help as many people as possible get into the habit of twice weekly COVID-19 testing.

The testing team will be there to help you take a rapid symptom-free test and give out test kits (7 in each box) so that you and your household can regularly test yourselves at home. No booking is required.

Starting today and over the next few days, the symptom-free testing team will be visiting:

Almost 1000 boxes of kits given to the public so they can get tested at home, identify infection quickly and help stop the spread of COVID-19.

The Community Connectors have also been out and about letting people know the testing is in their area with one resident remarking that they will get tested now it is “on their doorstep.”

More locations will be added over the coming weeks so please keep an eye out for more venues near you soon.

There are lots of ways you can access symptom-free testing with most pharmacies in Wirral signed up to give test kits out free of charge. People aged over 18 without symptoms can visit a participating local pharmacy and collect a box of seven rapid tests to use twice a week at home. Find out where you can Pharmacy Collect in Wirral

*If you have had your COVID-19 vaccine you do still need to get tested regularly as you can unknowingly pass on the virus to others. Keep Wirral Well and get tested.
