Wirral’s first Youth Market arrives this Saturday

Young entrepreneurs are all geared up for Wirral’s first Youth Market, which takes place this Saturday.

With traders ranging from crafts, crochet and baked goods, and even football boots at bargain prices, there’s something for everyone at Liscard’s Youth Market.

The Youth Market is open to anybody aged 16-29 who has a product or service to sell. The new initiative is designed to give young traders and makers the chance to launch a business within their local community and is open to young people with any level of experience.

This initiative comes following funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and support from the Teenage Market initiative via the UK Government’s High Street Task Force. The market in Liscard will be the first of its kind in Wirral, it will also be the first of three Youth Markets delivered over the next two years.

Joe Barratt, Co-Founder of the Teenage Market, said, “I’m delighted that Liscard are providing a free opportunity to give young traders the chance to showcase their creative products and give young performers the chance to share their talents with the local community. We’ve seen across the country how young people can benefit so much from taking part in these events.”

If you are wanting to buy something from one of the young traders, please bring cash as not all traders can accept cards.

The Youth Market takes place on 22 July 2023 from 10am – 4pm.
