Wirral teens arrested after abusing woman and threats to shoot a man

Merseyside Police has arrested two males following an incident in Rock Ferry on Tuesday 29 June.

Shortly before 9.25pm it was reported that two males were verbally abusing and filming a woman on Faversham Way. The males were reported to have been looking into the woman’s address before entering her front garden, then smashing a glass bottle on the pavement outside.

The offenders were then reported to have verbally abused a man who came to the defence of the woman, threatening to return to shoot him.

Officers attended and detained two suspects on nearby Bedford Road, at its junction with Chatham Road.

Two males aged 16 and 13, from Rock Ferry, were arrested on suspicion of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke violence. The 16-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of obstructing or resisting a constable in the execution of their duty.

They were taken to a police station for questioning and have been released under investigation while enquires continue.
