Four injured in Liscard RTC

Merseyside Police is appealing for information following a serious collision in Liscard on Saturday 29 January.

At around 8.15pm officers received a report of a collision involving a blue BMW and a grey Vauxhall Zafira at the junction of Rolleston Drive and Malpas Road.

Emergency services attended and the passenger of the BMW was taken to hospital with serious head injuries where he remains in a critical condition.

Man in court following stabbing

Merseyside Police has charged a man following a stabbing on Wirral. 

At around 1.30am yesterday, Sunday 30 January, officers were called to an address on Colbert Close, Wirral to reports that a man had been stabbed in the neck. 

Emergency services attended and a man in his 30s was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Sixteen dispersal notices issued in Liscard

Officers seized eight mountain bikes, four electric scooters and issued 16 dispersal notices in Liscard last weekend as a dispersal zone was introduced.

The order, which ran from Friday 28 January at 5pm, lasted for 48 hours until 5pm on Sunday 31 January. 

Under the legislation, officers have the power to seize any item used in the commission of anti-social behaviour.

Liscard man arrested in Oxton and Class A drugs seized

Merseyside Police has made an arrest and seized cocaine and cannabis after a man made off from patrols on an electric motorbike in Oxton on Monday 31 January.

Officers on patrol spotted a man on an off-road electric motorcycle, who made off from the patrols at around 8.20pm. 

Following a search nearby, the motorcycle was located outside a property on Wellington Road.

Five-year stalking order for Wirral woman

Merseyside Police is encouraging all victims of stalking to come forward after a Wirral woman was handed a five-year Stalking Protection Order.

Annika Sands, aged 37, from Prenton, was handed the order on Tuesday 25 January, after she was found to have stalked three men.

Sands used social media to harass and make threats towards her victims and their friends/family both online and in person between November 2019 and May 2021.

Next of kin appeal

Can you help trace the next-of-kin of a woman from Wirral who has passed away?

Liverpool and Wirral Coroner’s Office is appealing to find the family of Dorothy Fryer, 81, of Nelson Court, Rowson Street, Wallasey.

Ms Fryer sadly died in Liverpool on the 7th January 2022. There are no suspicious circumstances.

Police issue CCTV images following suspicious activity in Ellesmere Port

Officers investigating suspicious activity in Ellesmere Port have issued two CCTV images.

At sometime between 2am and 3am on 25 January two unknown men were spotted trying door handles on cars around the Talbot Road area of the town.

A man confronted the men who then struck him to the face.

Free weekly kids football training at the Oval

Local officers hold weekly football training sessions at The Oval Sports Centre, Bebington.

The free football training sessions are available for all children aged 11-16 years old.

There is no subscription, no fee, just turn up! These events are held every Friday between 17:30-19:30 and are supported by Wirral Borough Council and Mid Wirral Crime Prevention Panel.
