Wirral woman amongst three arrested for supplying drugs and modern-day slavery

Three people have been arrested following warrants executed on Wednesday 18 May, in Liverpool, Wirral and Blackpool.
Warrants were executed at addresses in Woolton, Birkenhead, and Blackpool following an investigation led by Merseyside Police to tackle County Lines drug dealing and the criminal exploitation of children.
A 20-year-old man from Woolton, a 19-year-old woman from Birkenhead and a 55-year-old man from Blackpool have been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including modern-day slavery for exploiting young people, and concerned in the supply and possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs.
Man arrested following Beechwood shooting

Merseyside Police has arrested a man following an injury shooting in Birkenhead last week.
At around 10.40pm on Wednesday 11 May, a 17-year-old male presented at Arrowe Park Hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg.
A scene was established on Fender Way, at the junction of Beechwood Drive, and evidence consistent with shots being fired was found.
Man charged with murder of Karen Wheeler

A man has been charged with the murder of 62-year-old Karen Wheeler in Birkenhead.
Police were called to a flat in Vittoria Court, on Vittoria Close, at around 7.15pm on Thursday 12 May to a report of concern for the welfare of Mrs Wheeler.
Paramedics attended but Mrs Wheeler was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Next of kin appeal – David Strother

Can you help trace the next-of-kin of a person from Wirral who has passed away?
We are appealing on behalf of the Coroner’s Office to help trace the next of kin of a Wirral man.
David Strother, 53, of Grange Avenue, Wallasey, sadly died on Monday 2 May.
Police release e-fit of man in connection with indecent exposure in Ellesmere Port

Police have released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to in connection with an investigation into an indecent exposure in Ellesmere Port.
A woman had been walking her dog along Hillside Drive when a man ran out of Rivacre woods towards her and exposed himself.
He didn’t say anything to her and ran back into the woods when her dog barked at him. The man was holding a small folding knife at the time. It occurred shortly after 10pm on Wednesday 9 February.
Two dogs seized after attacking 80-year-old man at Birkenhead Park

Merseyside Police Officers have seized two dogs following an incident in Wirral on Sunday 15 May.
At around 11.50am, police received a report that a man and his small dog were being attacked by two Staffordshire Bull Terriers in Birkenhead Park on Cavendish Road, Birkenhead.
A man who was driving by stopped to help the victim, an 80-year-old man.
Man stabbed by group of men during attack in Neston

Detectives investigating a stabbing in Neston are appealing for information from members of the public.
A 19-year-old man was walking along Raby Park Road when he was approached by a group of around five to seven men.
The men were all wearing dark clothing and two of them were alleged to be carrying knives.
Imitation firearms discovered in Wallasey handed in to police

Merseyside Police is continuing to appeal for people to hand over guns and ammunition as part of a two-week national firearms surrender.
The two-week campaign began on 12 May and finishes on Sunday 29 May where people can hand over any firearms and ammunition in a responsible and safe way by calling 101 and arranging for an officer to collect it.
During the campaign people will not face prosecution for the illegal possession at the point of surrender and can remain anonymous.
Next of kin appeal – William Sherratt

Can you help trace the next-of-kin of a person from Wirral who has passed away?
We are appealing on behalf of the Coroner’s Office to help trace the next of kin of a Wirral man.
William Sherratt, 76, of Pemberton Road, Woodchurch sadly passed away at his home.
