Heswall man charged with breaching gang injunction order

A man has been charged with breaching the terms of his gang injunction.

Callum James Taylor, aged 24 years, of Heswall, has been charged with breaching a civil injunction.

He was remanded into custody and appeared at Liverpool remand court.

Uninsured car seized

On Monday 16 January, Community Officers from Team Wallasey were out on patrol.

The driver of this car has been dealt with for driving without insurance and their car has been seized.

Machette recovered as man arrested

A man, aged 22, from Beechwood was arrested earlier this week by Merseyside Police officers.

The man was arrested for Possession with Intent to Supply Class B, Possession of a Controlled Drug Class B and Possession of an Offensive Weapon, after a quantity of drugs and a machete were recovered.

Police officers visit school

Officers from Team Wallasey visited Egremont Primary School on Tuesday 17 January to speak to Year 5 pupils regarding Anti-social Behaviour and how their behaviour can affect others in the local community.

Arrests made following ongoing police disruption targeting criminals in Wirral

A number of arrests have been made following an ongoing proactive policing operation to target criminals.

Officers were in Birkenhead and Wallasey on Wednesday 18 January, in a high-visibility police presence to disrupt criminality and protect those living in the area.

In one incident, officers approached a red Volkswagen Golf on Penrith Street, Birkenhead. The driver started the ignition and struck the officer then drove off towards Ball Road East.

Second defibrillator stolen in Wallasey

Police have received another report of an AED (Defibrillator) being stolen, this time from Central Park, Liscard last weekend.

It is the second AED to be stolen in the Wallasey area recently, after a similar one was stolen from Harrison Park last week.

Anyone with any information regarding this life-saving piece of equipment is requested to contact Merseyside Police by any of the following :

Man arrested for intent to supply drugs

A 33-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday 17 January by plain-clothes officers on patrol in the Oxton area.

He was arrested for Possession with Intent to Supply Class B drugs after a quantity of cannabis was recovered.

Man charged after a police officer assaulted in Ellesmere Port

A man has been charged after a police officer was seriously assaulted in Ellesmere Port.

Peter Murray, of Ellesmere Port, was arrested at around 6pm on Monday 16 January, on Thornton Road, Ellesmere Port.

The 34-year-old has since been charged with section 18 wounding with intent, assault by beating and theft from a shop.

Stolen motorbike returned to owner

Acting on information received from the local community, a stolen Royal Enfield motorbike was recovered in New Brighton by officers on Tuesday 17 January and reunited with the owner.

Anyone with information on scramblers or other motorbikes/scooters, etc. being used in an anti-social manner, or where they are being stored can contact Merseyside Police social media desk via Twitter Merseyside Police Contact Centre or Facebook ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’.

Next of kin appeal – Peter Warrington

Can you help trace the next-of-kin of a person from Wirral who has passed away?

Liverpool and Wirral Coroner’s Office is appealing for help in tracing the next-of-kin of a man from Wallasey.

Peter Warrington, 66 years, died at his home on Burns Avenue on Thursday 5 January.
