Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after shooting in Moreton

Detectives have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder and are continuing to appeal for information following a shooting in Moreton last Wednesday, 10 August.

At 11.15pm, it was reported shots had been fired in the direction of a house on Danger Lane. It was reported there were around four offenders on two motorbikes who then left the area.

There were no reports of anyone being injured.

Continued appeal following report of sexual assault in Wirral

Detectives are continuing to appeal for information following an allegation of sexual assault of a young woman in Wirral on Sunday 14 August.

The incident is believed to have happened on Pine View Drive following a reported house party at around 9.30am.

Detectives investigating the allegations are asking people not to speculate about the incident as further enquiries are carried out.

Nuisance off-road motorbike seized in Moreton

Officers from Wallasey that are dedicated to the Moreton area seized an off-road motorbike on Friday 19 August.

It was reported by local residents to be causing nuisance and danger to the public. Officers have acted on the information provided by the local community to locate and seize the bike.

A police spokesperson said, “Please continue to provide this information to us and we will take action.”

Man dies after being pulled from River Mersey at New Brighton

Merseyside Police has confirmed that emergency services were in New Brighton following an incident during the afternoon of Tuesday 16 August.

At around 1.55pm, coastguard, ambulance, police officers, and the RNLI were called to Marine Parade responding to reports for the concern of the safety of a man in the water.

Three arrests in connection with attempted murder in Ellesmere Port

Officers from Cheshire Police have arrested three people in connection with an attempted murder.

On Wednesday 17 August, detectives investigating an attempted murder in Ellesmere Port executed warrants at four addresses in Merseyside.

Assisted by officers from Merseyside, officers from Cheshire’s Major Investigation Team conducted the warrants at four addresses in Beechwood.

Stolen tipper truck recovered

This stolen tipper truck was sighted during the evening of Tuesday 16 August.

A Merseyside Police Roads Policing Unit patrol spotted it in Bebington and it has recovered for forensic examination.

Appeal for information following serious road traffic collision in Hoylake

Merseyside Police is appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision in Hoylake on Sunday, 14 August.

At around 3.45pm, emergency services were called to Meols Drive, close to the Royal Liverpool Golf Club, to reports of a collision involving a Renault Clio and a bicycle. The male cyclist in his 50s was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition. 

The road was closed while enquiries were carried out and the driver of the car stopped to assist.

Heavily modified car seized

A heavily modified car was seized in Wirral recently by a neighbourhood patrol, after it was seen being driven in an anti-social manner.

A Merseyside Police Rods Policing Unit officer attended to assess it its condition.

A prohibition was issued and a report completed to evidence further offences for a summons file.

Arrest made after man stabbed in Ellesmere Port

Detectives investigating the stabbing of a man in Ellesmere Port are appealing for information from members of the public.

The 41-year-old man was located inside a property on Cambridge Road shortly before 4am on Monday 15 August.

He had sustained injuries to his head and stomach and was taken to Aintree Hospital.
