CCTV appeal following burglary in Birkenhead

Merseyside Police has issued images of a man who may have information following burglary and fraud offences in Birkenhead during August.
In the early hours of Tuesday 16 August, entry was gained to a home on Oxton Road and items including a bank card and mobile phone were stolen.
The bank card was subsequently used at Shell Garage on Borough Road.
Stolen moped and motorbike recovered in Moreton

Local officers in Moreton from Team Wallasey have been working hard on disrupting anti-social behaviour and reports of drug dealing in the Moreton area.
Whilst conducting enquiries in relation to an unrelated matter, officers located a suspected stolen moped and motorbike from an address.
Police continue to encourage residents and businesses to report any suspicious behaviour or intelligence through either 101, Merseyside Police Contact Centre or through Crimestoppers.
Appeal for information following burglary in Woodchurch

Detectives are appealing for information following a burglary for jewellery and cash in Wirral last weekend.
At some time between Thursday 8 and Saturday 10 September, entry was forced to a house on Hoole Road, Woodchurch and a safe containing cash and jewellery was stolen. Forensic, witness and CCTV enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Inspector Emma Kerrigan said, “We are still working to establish what was stolen but such offences cause significant distress and inconvenience to victims and in the wider community.”
PCSOs locate drugs during search

Local PCSO’s from Team Bebington conducted an area search following drug activity in the Rock Ferry area. The PCSO’s located and seized a quantity of suspected class A drugs.
Police hold weekly surgeries at Tomorrow’s Women Wirral

PCSO Poole and Constable Clarke attend Tomorrow’s Women Wirral in Birkenhead between 12pm-1pm every Friday to offer guidance and advice.
Tomorrow’s Women is a local service that supports and empowers women. More information can be found on their Facebook page or on their website
Dispersal Zone introduced in Birkenhead

Merseyside Police introduced a Dispersal Zone in Birkenhead on Friday 30 September, in response to an increase in reports of criminal and anti-social behaviour in the area.
The order will last for 48 hours until 5pm on Sunday 2 October. Officers will be in the area to provide a visible presence and deal with any incidents.
The dispersal zone covers Borough Road, Argyle Street, Conway Street, Europa Boulevard, Price Street, Watson Street, Conway Street, Park Road East, Park Road South, Alvanley Place, Grange Road West and Whetstone Lane.
Prescription medication stolen in Oxton area

Merseyside Police is appealing for the public to be cautious after prescription medication was reported to have been stolen during a burglary overnight, 28 into 29 September 2022 in the Oxton area.
Officers received a report that prescription medication including Naproxen, Sukkato, Citalopram, Gabapentin, Gliclazide, Omeprazole, Mirtazapine, Simvastatin, Semaglutide, Diazepam, Lamotrigine, Tegretol, Amitriptyline, Astrovastatin, Docusate, Uniphylin Cortinus, Zopiclone, and Lorazepam were all stolen.
Officers are reminding people that taking any medication which has not been prescribed for them can be dangerous and, in some circumstances, can prove fatal.
Anyone who finds any of the medication is asked to hand it in to any pharmacy or police station or contact officers via Merseyside Police Contact Centre or the 101 number quoting log 102 of 29 September 2022.

Michael Rushton sadly passed away at his home in Kingsland Road, aged 67.
