A 21-year-old from Greasby has become a finalist in the 2023 Hair and Beauty Awards.
The New Brighton/Wallasey based Nail Technician has announced that she has been shortlisted in the UK Hair and Beauty Awards in the Best Gel Nails category.
In February 2022, Lauren Wren, who is based at Streaks Ahead salon, finished a nail course. However, she didn’t take the plunge to rent a chair and provide gel and builder gel nails until November 2023.
After discovering her passion for doing nails, Lauren realized that it was her true calling and something she wanted to pursue.
Lauren said, “Since I decided to peruse doing nails I absolutely love going to work, I just love putting a smile on peoples faces when they see the finished result “
“I have turned my hobby into a career and at 21 years old I have found myself in a position where I am doing what I love. I have found something that I am passionate in and can now develop my skills and self as a person and grow my business and clientele.“
“I’m so excited to keep building my clientele and meeting new people, I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me.“
The aim of the UK Hair and Beauty Awards is to support businesses of all sizes in the hair and beauty industry, provide exposure to all candidates through social media, and celebrate excellence in the industry.
Finalists will compete locally before heading to the national Grand Final Red Carpet Event.
The Hair and Beauty Awards is breaking down barriers, helping contestants build followings and recognition – even if they don’t win. That is why they are celebrating the entire process of the competition and all the amazing talent that has entered.
The awards will take place on Friday 21 April 2023 in Birmingham.
