Wirral man charged with conspiracy to supply cannabis, cocaine and ketamine

Merseyside Police has charged a Wirral man with Class A and B drug offences.

George Marsh, of Park Road North, Birkenhead was arrested yesterday, Thursday 17 June, on suspicion of conspiracy to supply cocaine, cannabis and ketamine.

A search was carried out at an address in Birkenhead together with a search of a container unit, also in the Birkenhead area, where over £50,000 in cash and a Rolex watch was recovered and seized.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Wirral adult remand court today, Friday 18 June.

The charge comes as part of the Merseyside Police response to Operation Venetic: a national investigation into the use of encrypted mobile devices, commonly referred to as Encrochat.

Wirral community policing Chief Inspector Roger Pegram said, “We will continue with our work because we know the impact that drug supply, its associated criminality and the people responsible for importing it has on the communities of Merseyside.

“We cannot do this without the help of the public and would urge anyone with information on the supply of drugs or individuals involved in serious and organised crime, to please get in touch, either directly through us or through Crimestoppers, completely anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
