Wirral Coastguard Team is now recruiting volunteer Coastguard Rescue Officers to join Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team. Coastguard Rescue Teams are made up entirely of specially trained and equipped volunteer Coastguard Rescue Officers who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
They respond to a wide range of emergency incidents including water rescue, mud rescue, medical emergencies, vessels in difficulty and lost & missing person searches. Coastguard Rescue Teams work closely with the other emergency services such as Fire & Rescue, Ambulance and Police, as well as the RNLI and other voluntary organisations.

As a Coastguard Rescue Officer you may be called out at any time of the day or night in all weather conditions and may have to work in hazardous situations and carry out physically demanding tasks. Full training and equipment is provided and no previous emergency service or maritime experience is required.
You will need to be aged 18 years or over, have a full UK driving licence and live in Wirral. You will also be required to pass a medical and fitness test.
Being part of a Coastguard Rescue Team is a big commitment and requires regular attendance at training sessions, exercises and at emergency incidents.

Wirral Coastguard is particularly interested in people with good daytime availability during the course of the standard Monday to Friday working week.
