The Williamson Art Gallery & Museum will reopen to the public after temporarily closing its doors for a week for emergency engineering works.
The gallery will welcome back visitors from Wednesday 14 July following the completion of some essential maintenance repairs.
The work carried out at the gallery is the first step to finding a long-term solution to upgrading and improving the existing ventilation system at the gallery.
Visitor numbers will remain restricted when the building reopens on Wednesday and will remain in place until further notice while further investigations – and any associated repairs – are carried out.
Safety inspections will continue to take place regularly to ensure that the building is operating as safely as possible for both staff and visitors.
The building was temporarily closed on Tuesday 6 July last week following a routine safety inspection.
