West Kirby RNLI launched on Friday 10 September to provide assistance to a woman with a suspected broken wrist.
The volunteer crew at West Kirby RNLI lifeboat were tasked at 12:58pm following a report that two casualties were in need of assistance as one had slipped and damaged her wrist on Hilbre Island.
Upon reaching the casualties, the crew undertook a medical assessment of the injured person and then transported both casualties to awaiting local HM Coastguard personnel.
Andy Brown, West Kirby RNLI Deputy Launch Authority said, “The casualties made a speedy and sensible decision to call the Coastguard as one had sustained an injury which required medical attention.
“We would always encourage people to carry a means of communication when visiting Hilbre and the surrounding area and to phone 999 should they find themselves in any danger.”
