West Kirby Musical Theatre receives four nominations for prestigious NODA awards

West Kirby Musical Theatre has four nominations for NODA awards in May for their performance of Betty Blue Eyes.

The nominations are:

  • Best female character in a musical – Joanne Poston (Mrs Joyce Chilvers)
  • Best ensemble piece – Betty Blue Eyes
  • Best Musical Director – Robert Bowness
  • Best Director – Sharon Henderson

A spokesperson for the theatre said, “We are beyond delighted! We thought it was a great show -naturally biased, of course – had loads of fun and we received some brilliant feedback.

“It is great to be recognised by NODA – the National Operatic and Dramatic Association which promotes amateur theatre around the UK. There is an awards evening in Blackpool Winter Gardens on 5 May – so keep your fingers crossed for us! Thank you again for your part in our success!”

West Kirby Musical Theatre has concerts coming up in April. ‘Another Night At The Musicals’ is going to be a series of fabulous evenings, with a matinee, at the Westbourne Hall in West Kirby, with songs from the shows performed by a whole cast of singers from WKMTC, along with group ensemble pieces and solos.

Another Night at the Musicals is at Westbourne Hall, West Kirby featuring your favourite showstoppers from Chicago, Sunset Boulevard, Mary Poppins, The Pajama Game, and many more! 19 – 21 April 2024.
