Merseyside Police Officers have arrested a 25-year-old man who was wanted on warrant by Swindon Police.
Operation Target officers received reports that a possible stolen car had been seen parked in the Ferry Terminal Carpark on Tower Road, Seacombe.
The two men inside the car were spoken to and during checks, it transpired the car was using cloned plates and the driver was wanted on a no bail warrant, issued by Swindon Magistrates Court in January 2020 in relation to a serious assault, shoplifting and harassment offences.
The car, which also had no insurance, was seized and the man was arrested and taken to custody.
He appeared at Wirral Magistrates Court yesterday morning where he was charged.
