Wallasey and District Sunday Football League round-up, 15 January 2023

Bad weather again curtailed most fixtures as the council closed all their facilities,

One fixture did take place in the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division as the derby game between Shore Villa Athletic and Shore Villa on a 4G pitch. This produced a hard-fought encounter that was decided by a second half 25-yarder from Tom Rowlands to secure the points in a 1-0 victory which moves SVA into a strong promotion place of joint-second with a game in hand.

The only other game played was in the Cheshire CFA Sunday Cup third round and despite a spirited performance from PLCCFC they conceded three very late goals to be bowled over by Great Float. On target for PLC was stalwart George Craven in this 5-1 reversal.
