Police have issued images of two males who could have information following an assault in Liverpool city centre.
At around 3am on Saturday 2 September, it was reported that a man aged in his 20s was punched by two males in McCooley’s bar, on Wood Street, and sustained a facial injury.
Officers attended the scene, but the suspects had left the area on foot.
Since the assault, extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been conducted and detectives have now issued images of two males they wish to speak who could assist in their investigation.
Detective Inspector Mike Fletcher said, “To assault someone in this manner is completely unacceptable and we are determined to find the people involved.
“Everyone should be able go out and feel safe in our city without the fear of being attacked and we are working to find those responsible and bring them to justice.
“I am appealing to the males shown in these images, or anyone who recognises them to come forward as we believe they could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.
“Similarly, if you saw the assault or the victim involved in this incident, please contact police as soon as possible.”
