Two Kirkby women charged with heroin and cocaine supply offences

Merseyside Police has charged two women from the Kirkby area in connection with a Class A drugs conspiracy.

Amy McGlone, 37, of Kirkby and Claire McGlone, 34, also of Kirkby, were arrested at their home addresses on Wednesday 8 December as part of Operation Aquarium.

They were both charged with conspiracy to supply controlled drugs Class A (cocaine and heroin) and Class B (cannabis) and remanded in custody to appear in court on Thursday 9 December.

The charges form another part of the Merseyside Police response to Operation Venetic: a national investigation into the use of encrypted mobile devices, commonly referred to as Encrochat.
