Merseyside Police has arrested two men after a man was stabbed in Wirral last week.
At around 4.50am on Wednesday 24 November 2021 a man in his 20s was found with stab wounds on Union Street in Wallasey.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries but has since been discharged following treatment.
Two men aged 20 and 19 from Egremont have been arrested on suspicion of assault. They are currently in custody where they will be questioned by detectives.
The investigation is ongoing and detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone who has any information to come forward.
Detective Inspector Michael Fletcher said, “Our officers are determined to bring those responsible for this appalling attack to justice.
“Although we have made two arrests I would like to appeal directly to anyone who was on Union Street last Wednesday at the time this incident happened to contact us.
“If you were driving on Union Street and have CCTV, dashcam or video/mobile footage of the incident or area at around 4.50pm in the early hours of Wednesday morning, please get in touch.”
