Tranmere Rovers and Leisure Leagues have joined forces to establish two new six-a-side football leagues, based at Tranmere’s new 3G pitch facilities at Leasowe.
Talking about the new 3G facilities, Tranmere Rovers Chairman, Mark Palios said, “Wirral has been identified by The FA as a top priority for increased provision of football facilities. The installation of the 3G pitch at the Campus will provide an important community asset and presents opportunities for thousands of local people to participate in football and a wide range of other sporting activities.”
Dan Beddard, Leisure Leagues’ Sports Development Manager said, “Leisure Leagues is the world’s largest provider of five- and six-a-side football and we have recently just secured a prime booking with Tranmere Rovers to set up two brand new six-a-side football leagues, using their state-of-the-art 3G pitch facilities at the clubs training campus in Wallasey.”
Dan hopes to get Wirral moving and playing football again whilst improving peoples physical and mental wellbeing by getting them out of the house and playing grassroots football.
Dan continued, “Tranmere is Building a new 3G pitch at the training campus and we are their preferred partner of small-sided football and have two nights running on the pitch on prime slots. We will have leagues running on Monday s 7-9pm and Sundays 6-8pm.”
