Tranmere hosted Stevenage this evening for a 7.45pm kick-off, in their latest game of the 2021/22 League 2 season.
Rovers will be looking to bounce back from the weekend’s heavy defeat against Forest Green Rovers, a result both the squad and the fans will be looking to put behind them.
Stevenage come into the clash in strong form having been unbeaten in their last five games, their last defeat coming against Forest Green Rovers on New Year’s Day.

Tranmere overcame Saturday’s disappointing defeat by League Two leaders Forest Green with a hard-earned 1-0 win at Prenton Park over Stevenage tonight.
A Kieron Morris second-half goal was enough to secure the points for Rovers. Despite the heavy loss at the weekend, Tranmere made tonight’s game count and their form is now nine wins in 11 league games, while Stevenage lost for the first time in six games.
It was a solid performance, rather than a beautiful one. But it was just the response to their previous game that the fans wanted and needed to see.
Lee O’Connor and Paul Glatzel were both unlucky not to get their names onto the score sheet, each being denied by Stevenage goalkeeper Christy Pym who made two faultless saves early from their strikes.
Micky Mellons half-time team talks always seem to do the trick and within three minutes of the start of the second half, Tranmere had bagged a goal. Kieren Morris fired a left-footed shot home from 20 yards, assisted by Kane Hemmings.
Stevenage didn’t give up and they missed a chance to level the scores when a shot from Jake Taylor went wide at the 72-minute mark.
That was the closest Stevenage got to scoring for the rest of the match, meaning a well-earned victory for the home side.
Tranmere visit Barrow for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday 5 February in their next League 2 fixture.
