Trainee Solicitor, Harriet Hansen at Peter Edwards Law in Hoylake, has won the Rising Star Award presented by the Liverpool Law Society.
The event, held on 9 November 2023, highlights the talent, diversity and skills across the Merseyside region and beyond. After picking up her award, a delighted Harriet said, “I can’t quite believe it. I was happy enough to be shortlisted, but I didn’t expect to win. It’s incredible!”
Harriet was up against tough competition from talented solicitors at well-known practices across Merseyside.
Harriet added, “I’m so proud to pick up this award. This is recognition for all the hard work we do protecting the most vulnerable people in society.
“The challenges people face when diagnosed with a mental illness or if they lack capacity can often mean their opinions and ideas are not taken seriously. We do our utmost every day to make sure vulnerable people are listened to.”
Director Peter Edwards added, “It was a very special night for Harriet and the team at Peter Edwards Law. We’re all so thrilled for Harriet and she thoroughly deserves the recognition for her remarkable achievements since joining our team in Hoylake.”
Established in 1995, Peter Edwards Law specialises in mental health law. Harriet joined the team in October 2019 as a Legal Assistant. Soon after she became a Trainee Solicitor dedicated to supporting and furthering the human rights of those who are unable to speak for themselves.
