Three men sought in connection with city centre assault

Detectives have issued CCTV images of three men who could have information that may assist with their enquiries following an assault in Liverpool city centre in November.

It was reported that at around 1.30am on Wednesday 30 November, a man was assaulted by another man inside the Baa Baa on Wood Street.

It was further reported that security staff ejected the group from the bar but a further assault took place along Wood Street. The offenders left the scene soon after the incident.

One victim received medical treatment for his injury.

CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing to identify the suspects responsible, and detectives have issued images of three men they believe could assist with their investigation.

Detective Inspector Katie Coote said, “Such violence like this will not be tolerated which has left the victim requiring medical treatment.

“People should be able to enjoy a night out without being subjected to any kind of violence or fear of being assaulted.

“I am also appealing to the men featured in the images, or anyone who recognises them to come forward. We believe they could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.”

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact @MerPolCC on Twitter or ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook with reference 22000880100.
