After a summer break, The HandCrafted Market is gearing up to return to West Kirby on Saturday 15 October.
With more stalls than ever before there will be lots of special handcrafted gifts to browse and buy. Why not start your Christmas shopping early?
This is the first of three markets in West Kirby to bring the year to a close. Each of the three markets will be packed with 25 stalls, featuring a wide variety of handcrafted goods by talented crafters from across Merseyside and the surrounding areas.
Elliott O’Callaghan, organiser of The HandCrafted Market said, “We know 2022 has been a tough year for everyone. We’ve seen many small, independent businesses close over the last 12 months. We hope that The HandCrafted Market can bring together highly skilled crafters and the local community.
“Yes, their prices may be higher than a chain store or discount shop. But you’re not just buying a product from them, you’re supporting a dream. You’ll probably get far better service and the products you buy will probably be of a much higher quality too.
“Without your support, small businesses in your area will start to disappear. Make a purchase from a small business and support a dream this Christmas.”
Local crafters, bakers and candle makers will be at St. Andrew’s Church Hall in West Kirby between 10am and 3pm on Saturday 15 October, 12 November and 10 December. There will be handcrafted candles, home fragrances, jewellery, decorative items, original artwork, gin, cakes, bakes and lots more.
The markets will also feature the Crafters’ Café, where people can relax and enjoy a hot drink, soak up the atmosphere and chat with family and friends. It’s a great excuse to meet up with family and friends and support small businesses.
The markets are free to enter and there is plenty of free onsite parking and it’s great fun for all the family.
The HandCrafted Market was created in 2022, by Elliott O’Callaghan, with the aim of giving small independent businesses within Merseyside and the surrounding areas the opportunity to showcase and sell products to the public, in person.
The HandCrafted Market is also starting to offer business sessions to help its crafters with business skills, social media and marketing. The HandCrafted Market has grown and is now hosting markets in Chester, Parkgate, and Neston. They are always looking for new and exciting venues across the North West.
