A spectacular immersive experience called ‘The Light Before Christmas: The Angels Are Coming!’ is set to transform the magnificent interior of Liverpool Cathedral with an incredible display of son-et-lumière artworks from 2-9 December.
Visitors are invited to experience the Nativity story with a contemporary twist as the iconic building’s Gothic architecture becomes a canvas for a carefully orchestrated sequence of twinkling lights, captivating projections and beautiful music, inspired by the very first Christmas.
The mesmerising after-dark experience is the work of award-winning artistic collaboration, Luxmuralis, who are renowned for exceptional immersive art installations including the sell-out ‘Space, The Universe and Everything’, which came to Liverpool Cathedral earlier this year.
Forming a centre-piece of the festive celebrations at Liverpool Cathedral, ‘The Light Before Christmas: The Angels Are Coming!’ promises to delight visitors of all ages as they lose themselves in an awe-inspiring journey through the Nativity story.
The experience lasts around 40 minutes and runs from 4.30pm – 8.30pm with sessions starting every 15 minutes. Tickets for ‘The Light Before Christmas: The Angels Are Coming!’ are available now at £8 (adults), £6 (children) or £25 (family ticket admitting 2 adults and 3 children), plus booking fee. Entry is free for children under 3. Tickets must be booked in advance at ticketquarter.co.uk
