Teenagers arrested in Rock Ferry Class A drug bust

Merseyside Police has arrested one man and one teenage male from Liverpool on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs in Rock Ferry.

The arrests – as part of Project Medusa – relate to an investigation into County Lines drugs supply in Merseyside.

A warrant was executed at a property in Rock Ferry this morning, Tuesday 28 September, where mobile phones and a quantity of suspected Class A drugs were seized.

One 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of supplying of Class A drugs and human trafficking. A 17-year-old male was also was arrested on suspicion of supplying of Class A drugs. Both of them are currently in custody where they will be questioned by detectives.

Detective Inspector Gary Stratton said, “This morning’s arrests were part of the proactive work we are carrying out under Project Medusa, an operation that works across force boundaries to ensure we take suspected offenders off our streets.

“Organised crime destroys communities and the lives of those taking drugs and those who are often coerced into dealing them on behalf of these gangs.

“Our work to remove these people from our streets and bring them to justice continues on a daily basis and I would ask anyone who has information about this kind of activity to come forward so action can be taken.”
