Teen on stolen motorbike had ‘Rambo-style’ knife and drugs

Merseyside Police has arrested a 17-year-old male after a scrambler bike was stopped in Liverpool last night, Monday 5 September.

Officers were on patrol on High Park Street in Toxteth when they spotted a scrambler bike heading towards Princes Avenue. The rider was wearing a balaclava and no helmet.

The bike was then seen to drive onto the wrong side of the carriageway in the direction of Princes Park.

As the patrol vehicles approached the junction the rider stalled the bike and officers were able to detain the rider.

A large Rambo-style knife and a quantity of cannabis was recovered.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, possession of a bladed article, dangerous driving, possession of a controlled drug, disqualified driving, drug driving and driving without insurance.

He is currently in custody.
