Suspended Possession Order obtained against nuisance neighbour at Leasowe

Wirral Anti-Social Behaviour Team, on behalf of the landlord Prima Housing Group, this week obtained a Suspended Possession Order on 51 Wakefield Drive, Leasowe.

The order, acquired on 15 March 2021, requires the tenant to comply with the terms of their tenancy agreement and prevents the principal offender from visiting or residing at the property for five years.

The action was taken following a three-month Partial Closure Order applied for by Merseyside Police in June 2020 on the address following reports of anti-social behaviour and serious crime which included a weapon being discharged and drug offences.

The current order, if breached, would cause further enforcement action to be considered to protect the community. Due to the severity of the incidents, Merseyside Police, Wirral Council and Prima Housing Group have acted robustly, having utilised various enforcement tools to effectively protect local residents from continuing to endure these issues and have offered further community reassurance in ensuring the offender is prevented from returning to the address.
