North West Motorway Police reported earlier today that a van was seen wandering across lanes on the northbound carriageway of the M53.
Officers found the driver to be eating off a plate using a knife and fork.

Help Keep Kids Learning – donate a device
Residents and businesses who have spare IT kit are being encouraged to consider donating it to a council scheme to help Wirral’s children and young people keep learning at home.
With many pupils now needing to learn remotely due to the latest lockdown, not all children and young people have access to the right devices to allow them to continue their education.

Walkers rescued from mud at Thurstaston by Hoylake RNLI and emergency services
Hoylake RNLI hovercraft was requested to launch by the UK Coastguard at 12.47pm on Monday 1 February to reports of two people stuck in mud near to Sally’s Cottage on Thurstaston Beach.
Hoylake RNLI’s volunteer crew launched their Inshore Rescue Hovercraft Hurley Spirit before quickly heading to the scene

Tranmere Rovers Football Club have announced two signings on transfer deadline day.

Merseyside Police has appealed to find the mum of a baby boy whose body was found on Brackenwood golf course in Bebington, Wirral.
On Friday 29 January, at around 4.25pm, two dog walkers came across the body of the full-term baby boy in a wooded area at the side of a footpath close to the 16th green of the golf course.
