Wirral’s prestigious annual Sports Awards are taking place on Tuesday 17 October at the Floral Pavilion, New Brighton.
Hosted by the Wirral Sports Forum and supported by Wirral Council and Active Wirral, the awards showcase some of Wirral’s best sporting talent.
Chair of the Sports Forum, Ronan Kearney, said, “The Sports Awards have been in existence since 1964. We truly have some amazing sporting performers on the peninsular and their successes are highlighted at the awards.
“If you know a team, club, organisation or individual that has been nominated and short-listed or you just want to be part of a great show, please come along and support the event.
“We also have a special performance on the night by Wirral’s Creative Youth Theatre.”
The Wirral Sports Personality of the Year is also named and will follow in the footsteps of last year’s winner, swimmer Freya Anderson.
