Self-service delivery lockers come to new Birkenhead retail scheme

InPost, a leading out-of-home and eCommerce delivery company, has partnered with Dransfield Properties to bring their 24/7 self-service lockers to the new retail scheme on Woodchurch Road.

The lockers will ensure customers to the retail centre can securely collect, return and send parcels at their convenience with just a scan of their mobile phone, offering another helpful service to the local community.

Located next to what will be the new Hi-Q tyres and autocare centre, the lockers can be accessed at all times with convenient free parking outside.

The lockers set the standard for easier and more environmentally friendly parcel options reducing a significant amount of emissions and providing a convenient way for people to send and receive parcels.

Managing Director of Dransfield Properties, James Shepherd, said, “We are pleased to be working with a great company offering a convenient and stress-free way for people to collect and return their parcels as well as taking steps towards reducing emissions.”

Work began last October to convert Birkenhead’s former car dealership, Looker’s, into a small district centre of shops anchored by a Tesco convenience store on Woodchurch Road, which opened in February.

Since then the store has been joined by Britain’s biggest tanning salon chain, Indigo Sun, My Gym and a hand car wash with Hi-Q tyre and autocare opening soon.
