A spokesperson for the school said, “We were absolutely heartbroken to come into school this morning to find lots of our outdoor things completely destroyed [including] fencing, arches, and benches in the playground.

“If anyone sees or hears anything please contact the school / Police immediately. We can not let this continue!”

A parent who has set up a JustGiving fundraiser for repairs to the playground said, “I’m hoping to raise some funds towards some damage that has been caused to my daughter’s primary school.

“Today they have been to the school and seen that some very mindless individuals have damaged all of the hard work they have done to give our children a lovely playground.

“This school go above and beyond for our children, so I would really love the support to give something back!”
