Birkenhead Scouts is welcoming new members every day since the return to face-to-face Scouting after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Scouts have held ‘bring a friend’ nights which have proved to be a huge success and one of the Groups in Prenton has just welcomed over 20 new members in one night.
Birkenhead Scouts want to get as many Young People (and Adults) involved with The Scouts as possible. Scouts are better problem solvers, have more courage and independence, which will provide the skills people learn in The Scouts to help them later in life.
Matt Jones, District Commissioner said, “Being a Scout has been an incredible experience for me and last night was one of my highlights. Seeing over 20 six to eight-year-olds so enthusiastic and bursting at the seams to become Beavers and Cubs was incredible! It’s great to be able to see all these Young People keen to get outside, get active and learn some amazing Skills For Life with our dedicated, trained Adult Volunteers.”
If you’re interested you can visit the Scouts website or email them at join@birkenheadscouts.org.uk and you can join one of the 13 Groups across Thingwall, Woodchurch, Prenton, Beechwood, Oxton, Rock Ferry, Tranmere and Birkenhead.
