REVIEW: Dinosaur World Live at the Floral Pavilion

Dinosaur World Live is a real treat for young dinosaur fans. It is only one hour long, which is just right for short attention spans.

As soon as you enter the auditorium, the staff at the Floral Pavilion had entered into the spirit by wearing dinosaur hats and accessories.

There is a very simple storyline, about a dinosaur park on a remote island, and Miranda is our guide.
She introduces the dinosaurs and provides some facts about each one.

The puppets are lifelike, and the sound effects, provided by the puppet-masters, are very effective. The puppets are skilfully brought to life and given a personality.

Some of the more timid audience members could have been frightened, particularly by the larger puppets, but the pantomime atmosphere prevents it from getting too scary. The T-Rex was a definite hit with my children. Children are encouraged to join in, which they did extremely enthusiastically!

If you want to treat your dino-lovers even more, there is plenty of merchandise for sale in the foyer,
but be warned, it’s cash-only.

I would recommend this for young children, especially those between three and seven years old.

“It was very funny and looked real.” Thomas, aged 7.

“Interactive, amazing effects, funny, really good puppets, true facts, educational, very entertaining.”
Isobel, aged 9.
