Regan Hendry returns to Prenton Park

After a successful loan spell at Prenton Park last season, Regan Hendry has returned to Wirral after leaving Forest Green Rovers.

With experiences of winning the League Two title in the past, he brought a level of impetus into the engine room at Rovers, which caught the eye of many and made him a fan favourite.

The Scot was keen to return to Prenton Park and upon release from Forest Green, he returned to Tranmere on a two-year deal.

After securing the signature of Hendry, Tranmere manager Ian Dawes elaborated, “I’m delighted that Regan has decided to stay with us, especially amid interest from other clubs in both League One and League Two.

“He’s a technically strong player who has shown his ability to impact the game, something which is borne out by his statistics, which put him amongst the top-performing midfielders in the League.

“He knows what it takes to get promoted from League Two, and is relishing the challenge of doing that with us.”

Regan Hendry was reluctant to sign once he was aware of Tranmere’s interest and he added, “I got a taste of what Tranmere and the fans are about over the last 5 months, and am happy to commit myself to the Club. I’m ambitious and so is the Club, so it wasn’t a difficult decision.”
