Merseyside Police has confirmed that a man’s body has been found in a section of the Wirral docks near Wirral Met College yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 11 April).
Police received a report of a concern for safety at around 10.15pm on Monday 10 April and following enquiries the body of a man was found in the water at around 2.15pm on Tuesday 11 April.
Paramedics attended and he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination will take place to establish the cause of death.
At this time the death is being treated as unexplained and the man’s next of kin has been informed.
