A person was taken to hospital earlier today after a road traffic collision involving a car being driven on Heygarth Road and a bicycle.
Just after 11.20am this morning (Tuesday 11 July) Merseyside Police received a report of a collision involving a bicycle and a blue Seat car.
The male cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver remained at the scene.
Heygarth Road and Hilary Road were closed whilst officers continued their enquiries and has since been reopened.
