‘Our Kid’ film starring Tranmere Rovers fan set for Wirral premiere

The Wirral Premiere of the award-winning film ‘Our Kid’, produced by an independent Liverpool-based filmmaker, is set to take place at the Light Cinema, New Brighton.

The Wirral premiere is on the evening of Monday, 11 December and will be an unforgettable experience filled with tear-jerking drama and authentic Scouse humour.

There are crowd scenes at Prenton Park filmed at last year’s Open Day, so keep an eye out for yourself in the film.

There’s also a special cameo from Tranmere Rovers Chairman, Mark Palios.

‘Our Kid’ boasts an ensemble cast featuring household names such as Connor McIntyre, Ricky Tomlinson, Louis Emerick, Leanne Best, John McArdle, and Jake Abraham and features a break-through performance by the amazing new young actress on the block, Poppie Jae Hughes.

The screenplay, penned by Daniel P Lewis, weaves a compelling narrative inspired by his real-life cousin and follows the football-mad Reilly family as they grapple with family tragedy.

Expect a perfect blend of black comedy and heartwarming moments that will resonate with audiences young and old.

‘Our Kid’ is a must-see for football fans, and especially Tranmere Rovers and Liverpool FC fans, with both clubs featuring largely in the storyline. This film will tug at the heartstrings of football enthusiasts and women’s football fans alike.

Meet the Stars: Don’t miss the chance to rub shoulders with the cast, as well as past and present players from Tranmere and Liverpool football clubs. It’s a unique opportunity to connect with your favourite personalities and be part of a memorable evening.

Charity Premiere: Not only will you be treated to an exclusive screening, but your ticket purchase will contribute to local charities. The funds raised will support Tranmere Rovers in the Community and the cerebral palsy charity, ‘Stick n Step’.
