‘Multiple lines of enquiry’ following Pensby man’s death

Detectives are completing multiple lines of enquiry after the body of a man was found on Smallridge Close, Pensby on Sunday, 27 March. 

At this stage, police are treating this incident as an unexplained death and, at this stage of the investigation, police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. 

At around 4am police received a report that a body had been found outside an address on Smallridge Close. 

Emergency services attended but the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Two 20-year-old women from Heswall, a 25-year-old man from Eastham, a 23-year-old man from Pensby and a 30-year-old man from Thingwall who were arrested by police on suspicion of murder have since been released with no further action.

The deceased’s next of kin have been informed and a file is being prepared for the Coroner. 

A police spokesperson said, “The scene has now been stood down on Smallridge Close and we would like to thank the local community for their patience while the incident was dealt with.”
