As the curtain came down on another successful season in the MSC Express West Cheshire League, the final week’s action centred around the Youth Division.
Congratulations go to Vauxhall Motors who completed a superb treble, after they added the Cheshire County FA Under 18’s Youth Cup to their Youth Division title and Youth Plate triumphs, after beating Heswall Youth 3-1 on penalties following a 1-1 stalemate. Zak Catesby netted for Motors during normal time.
Second-placed Mossley Hill Athletic, completed their programme with a 1-1 draw against City of Liverpool on Tuesday followed by Saturday’s 7-5 eclipse of Runcorn Linnets highlighted by a hat trick from Jack Boden. Further efforts from Tom Marlow, Liam Blundell, Alfie Saunders and Leo Reynolds completed the scoring.
Clubs are reminded that the League’s Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, 22 June at 7.30pm. Non-attendance will result in a fine as per rule and any club present who has not paid 2022/23 League fees will not be permitted to vote.
