Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Bromborough on Saturday 9 April.
At around 5pm it was reported that a man was riding his bike along Ashfield Crescent when two males on a moped forced him to stop, assaulted him and stole his bike.
Both offenders who were wearing yellow helmets then rode off into the estate towards Bromborough Rake Train Station.
The 23-year-old victim did not suffer any injuries but is shaken by the incident.
CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing, including examining CCTV footage.
Detective Inspector Emma Kerrigan said, “This was a nasty incident which was very distressing for the victim to experience.
“I urge anyone who was in the vicinity on Saturday at around 5pm and may have noticed something suspicious to please contact us so we can bring the offenders to justice.
“The offenders had yellow helmets on so they may have been more distinctive among the traffic.
“I am also appealing for drivers and residents with CCTV and dashcam to please check your footage which may have captured the two suspects riding by.
“The stolen bike was a dark green Cannondale Moterra Neo 5, so I would urge anyone who may see the bike fitting this description in the picture, or sees it for sale to please contact us.”
