Mistrust to headline Future Showcase event at Future Yard

Tim Blackburn, who records under the name Mistrust, will be headlining the Future Showcase event at Future Yard in Argyle Street, Birkenhead on Sunday 19 of November 2023.

Every Sunday, Future Yard showcases some of the most exciting artists in the region, all free in the Live Room. The weekly Future Showcase is your chance to see the best bands on the circuit, and the future headliners of sold-out shows at Future Yard – and beyond.

Also playing at the Future Showcase on 19 November 2023 will be Handsome Rat, Jerboa, and Michael McKenna.

Mistrust is a singer/songwriter from Bolton, who writes and records electronic music pop songs. He only started playing live in 2023 and has recently performed at the Glaston-BURY music festival.

Mistrust’s songs are unashamedly influenced by early 80s synth-pop bands such as The Human League, Pet Shop Boys, and Wirral’s own Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark.

Mistrust says about the event, “The Future Showcase at Future Yard will be the first time that I will be playing songs from my latest album “Sunlight” in Wirral.

“The album was inspired by the historic village of Port Sunlight, just down the road, so it’s a sort of homecoming for the album.”

Entry is Free; No ticket required. Future Yard, Argyle Street, Birkenhead. Sunday 19 November 2023. Doors open 4.30pm.
