Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of an 81-year-old man from Wirral who has been reported missing.

[REDACTED] was last seen at his home address in Thingwall by his wife at 9am on Sunday morning, when he left home to go walking.

It is believed that he was headed to Moel Famau in North Wales.

Extensive enquiries are being carried out with North Wales Police in a bid to find [REDACTED] and we are particularly concerned about his safety due to the freezing weather conditions.

[REDACTED] is described as [REDACTED].

When he was last seen he was wearing a dark-coloured walking jacket, which is fleece lined; a pair of mustard-coloured walking trousers and brown lace-up shoes, but he also took his walking boots with him.

If you have seen [REDACTED] out walking today, or have any information which could help find him, please let Merseyside Police know via the missing from home form: Alternatively you can DM Merseyside Police at @MerPolCC or 101.
