Man’s body found on West Kirby beach

Merseyside Police has confirmed that emergency services are in attendance following the discovery of a man’s body on West Kirby Beach this afternoon (Friday 12 March).

A report was received at around 12.35pm that a body had been seen on the beach.

Emergency services arrived and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time the death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to identify the man and inform his next of kin.
