Man wanted in connection with city centre shooting

Merseyside Police appealing for information to help find Dean McLeod who is wanted in connection with a shooting in Liverpool City Centre this summer.

On Thursday 27 May shortly after 11pm, police were called to Colquitt Street following reports a man in his 20s had sustained a serious injury to his leg. It is believed the man was inside an apartment block when the incident happened.

The man was taken to hospital for his injury and was later discharged. 

In the days following the incident four men, aged 39, 32, 28 and 27 were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and questioned by police. 

All have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries. 

Extensive enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and detectives want to speak with 40-year-old Dean McLeod, who they believe has information which they believe could be vital to their investigation. 

McLeod is described as white male, 6ft, 3in tall with short brown hair and blue eyes. He speaks with a Liverpool accent. 

He is known to frequent the Speke area of Liverpool.
